Step 1: Full review data collection
We read the complete Amazon review set for each product. For the Yeapeeto, that is 2,156 reviews. We do not sample or summarize — we read all of them over multiple sessions, tagging as we go.
Step 2: Review tagging
Breed & weight
We tag every review that mentions the dog's breed and/or weight. This lets us build breed-specific sizing data that the product charts never provide.
Size ordered vs chart recommendation
We compare what size the owner ordered against what the official size chart would have recommended. This is how we identified the consistent "size up" pattern across the Yeapeeto reviews.
Primary use case
Post-surgery recovery, shedding control, hot spot licking prevention, spay/neuter recovery, or other. This lets us report per-use-case satisfaction, not just an overall star rating.
Outcome
Works as expected / works with modifications / does not work. Percentage breakdowns by use case and breed are used to populate our guides.
